Jarred Bressner is a physician, inventor, and healthcare investor with a deep belief in the power of upstream innovation to drive lasting change. As an orthopaedic surgeon, he began his career caring for patients on the front lines of the healthcare system—experiences that instilled in him a lifelong commitment to health, function, and systems-level solutions that restore and protect human potential.
Jarred has led the development of novel joint replacement systems and holds patents on orthopaedic implants and surgical tools. As a clinician-scientist, he received grant funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation (OREF), and has authored dozens of peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and conference presentations.
His work sits at the intersection of clinical medicine, engineering, and entrepreneurship. He has co-developed surgical technologies with industry leaders, served as a Grand Rounds speaker across the country, and co-founded Unbreakable Nutrition, a venture focused on bone health through nutrition and lifestyle.
Jarred completed both his undergraduate and medical education at Johns Hopkins, where he graduated first in his engineering department. He also completed his surgical residency in orthopaedic surgery at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. He held a dual appointment in the School of Medicine and the School of Engineering, and remains licensed to practice medicine in the state of Connecticut.
At The Cura Vita Fund, Jarred brings his unique lens as a physician and builder to support bold ventures and compassionate leaders working to advance human health and opportunity.
